Law's POV

As hard as it was being for me to believe it, we were actually here, waiting with our suitcases at a bus station for our bus to arrive, ready to spend ten days together at the beach.

We had picked up my hat from the dry cleaners, and thankfully it was more than saved, although I don't think I could ever forget what happened with it. I had left it at home, though. Knowing (Y/N)-ya found me more approachable without it, I thought it was a good idea to leave it aside while we were out.

I took a look at the screen where arrivals and departures were listed. Our bus still wasn't there, but I didn't think it would take too long. I turned to (Y/N)-ya's excited face. She was very happy to go to the beach, and her cheerfulness was always contagious.

"There it is!" She exclaimed pointing to the screen.

I took the bag with the food we had prepared for the journey and we headed to the parking lot indicated on the screen with our suitcases. It took us some minutes to understand the signals and find our bus, but once we did, we placed the suitcases on the compartment of the bus provided for them and got into the vehicle, showing the driver our tickets first.

"Do you mind if I sit next to the window?" (Y/N)-ya asked me.

"Not at all." I moved aside so she could sit first. I sat next to her and looked for a free spot to place the bag with our food.

"We'll leave it at my feet." She said, taking the bag from my hands. She smiled at me excitedly. "We're going to the beach!!"

I chuckled. "Seems we are." I said with a lopsided smirk. I had to admit I was excited too. It was just too great, being able to go on vacation with her. Her and me alone. It was almost like a sneak peek of the life I could enjoy with her if we were together.

I watched with an inner smile as she inspected the inside of the bus in curiosity while more passengers got into the bus. "You will see. The trip is very fun. We'll stop at a rest area at the middle of the trip, and at some point the driver will play a movie. I love traveling by bus." She happily explained.

I loved to see her so happy. Honestly, that morning I woke up in a very good mood, and it seemed as if nothing could worsen it. It was strange, though, feeling excited in such a joyful way. I couldn't remember the last time I felt like this.

She let out a small squeal when the bus started moving. "There we go! Yay!" She chimed grinning widely at me and making me chuckle.

The first half of the trip was very peaceful. I think that was the adjective that better suited this type of life: peaceful. At least it was peaceful to me, being used to a pirate life. Most of the time we were in silence, although (Y/N)-ya spoke from time to time to show me something through the window and make comments. At some point she took her phone and offered me one earphone to listen some music with her, which I accepted. It was fun to listen music with her and share knowing looks each time a song we liked started playing. Because at this point, I knew many of the songs she used to listen, and I found some I enjoyed too although I didn't really looked for them. Music was something totally dispensable to me but, since I lived with (Y/N)-ya, it was part of my life.

When we stopped at the rest area, the driver announced the stop would last around forty minutes. (Y/N)-ya and I got off the bus and entered the building in front of us. It was a mixture of a supermarket and a self-service buffet with a dining area.

"Let's go to the restroom first." She said.

When I was done, she was already waiting for me.

"Law... We have a problem." She shyly informed. I waited for her to continue. "Women restroom is broken and flooded, so... I couldn't... You know."

Oh... Poor girl. "Hm... Can't we go to another place?" I suggested.

"No, this is the only one near and the bus won't stop anywhere else, at least under normal circumstances."

"Well, if the restroom is broken, I think these are not normal circumstances. The rest of the female passengers will have your same problem." I mused.

"Yeah, but most of them didn't really seem to care." She made a face of disgust. "Maybe I'm too finicky but... I'll have to cut off my legs if I enter that place again."

I turned, scanning the outside through the crystal doors of the shop. "When we were arriving I saw some kind of waste ground behind this building. Why don't you try there?"

"What? Outside? What if someone sees me?"

I narrowed my eyes at the thought. "I'll break their nose." To my surprise, she laughed a bit. "Come on, I'll go with you to keep watch and cover you."

"Eh? Uh... I don't know..." She doubted, fidgeting nervously.

"The other option is holding on until we arrive, but there are still almost three hours left." I pointed out. Her face took a thoughtful look as she weighted her options. I think she truly was in a predicament because, although reluctantly, she finally nodded. We exited the shop and moved around it to go to the waste ground. "Nobody at sight. There won't be any problem." I soothed her, looking around.

She looked for a spot behind a big container and I stood in front of her to hide her the best I could, my back turned to her so I could know if someone came.

"Don't look." I heard her shy voice requesting from behind.

I smirked. "Don't worry, I won't." I promised. "Do you have tissues?"

"Uh... Yes, in my purse. Can you please grab them? But don't turn around." I rose my hand over my shoulder and grabbed the small packet when she put it in my hand. "Thank you."

"Tell me when you need them."

"Okay. But don't turn around." She repeated. "Nobody's coming, right?"

"No. Don't worry."

"This is full of ants. I can't lower my pants here, they will get covered by ants."

"Do you want us to move to another spot?" I offered.

"No... There are ants everywhere. I can't pee if there are ants around me." I pitied her a bit. She was having a hard time. "I hope I don't pee my pants..." I couldn't help but chuckle at her last sentence. Truth be told, the situation was quite comical. "Why are there so many? I'm going to drown them all..."

"They'll survive." I chuckled again.

"I can't do it..." I heard her mumble in desperation after some time.

"Relax. Nobody is here and I'm not going to turn around. You're safe."

"I wish I was a guy. You have it so easy. You just have to take out your little soldier and you're ready to go." She complained. More chuckles left my lips. "You're having fun with this, aren't you?" She accused me, although I could hear a smile in her voice.

"Your ideas are very entertaining." I uttered.

"Give me the tissues please." She requested after a silent moment. I handed her the packet over my shoulder. "Thank you."

Short after she appeared in front of me.

"Are you done?"

"More or less. I couldn't really finish but I think I can hold on now. I can't believe I just peed in front of a guy." She said in embarrassment.

I chuckled. "There's always a first time for everything."

We returned to the shop, where we bought a coffee for me, some cookies and baby wipes so she could clean her hands. Afterwards, we sat on a free table and ate our food. We had prepared sandwiches and onigiri at home, so we ate them and the food we bought at the shop (of course the sandwiches were for her, I wasn't that hungry). When there were five minutes left to make forty minutes, we went to the bus to wait for the driver to return and let us in.

Once the bus started moving once again, the two black screens (one at the start of the bus and the other right next to us) showed the beginning of a movie. (Y/N)-ya soon got bored with it and ended falling asleep on my shoulder.

I smiled and made myself comfortable, deciding to enjoy her presence and watch her beautiful sleeping face instead of the movie.

(Y/N)-ya bounced excitedly as I took our suitcases out of the bus. We had finally reached our destiny. She tried to take her suitcase, but I insisted on carrying both on my own. She had complaint about her arm hurting after a while when we went to the bus station, but for me it was really easy to deal with them. After a short discussion, I managed to convince her to let me carry both suitcases and we started to look for our street. Thankfully, it was near to the bus stop, so it was easy for us to find it.

The owner of the apartment welcomed us and showed us the place. It had a small kitchen, a little bathroom, a spacious living room, a balcony with a plastic table and four plastic chairs and a single room with two separated beds, one of them right next to the window and the other in front of the door. The apartment was part of a housing complex with swimming pool, so we could use it too.

I went to the balcony when the owner left, leaving (Y/N)-ya in the room with our belongings. If I turned to my left, I could see the sea not far away.

"Shall we go to the supermarket?" (Y/N)-ya's voice said from the door. I turned to her and nodded before following her back inside.

We went to the nearest supermarket to buy food and some other stuff. When we returned to the apartment it was around nine o'clock, so we left again to eat at some restaurant, not feeling like cooking after spending hours in a bus.
They're finally at the beach!!! :D And now I feel like going to the beach too...
