You sighed as you hanged up, and turned to your computer's screen, wondering what to do to clear this mess. However, you were too tired to think about it at the moment, so you decided to leave it for now. You crossed your arms and stared at Law. "My life is pretty chaotic since you appeared." You accused him.

"You're welcome." He plainly replied, keeping his eyes between the book pages. He raised them when he heard you laughing, though, and blinked wondering what was so funny all of a sudden.

"What a fuss you've caused with two single words." You laughed. "For such a serious looking guy, you really have talent to turn my world upside down." He simply stared at you not knowing how to answer. "Esther told me you like onigiri and grilled fish, so I bought the ingredients on my way here. I never made onigiri before, will you help me?" You asked, a smile plastered on your face.

He smirked, joy briefly sparking in his gorgeous eyes at the thought of the delicious food. "Sure." He left the book on the couch and stood to follow you to the kitchen.

What could be better than his favorite food cooked by you?

"What is this thing?" Law questioned staring at the device you were holding.

"It's a Wii U remote. Do you remember when I told you about videogames?" You replied, gaze fixed on the TV as you started a game.

"So this is a game console." He hummed, his eyes scanning the white remote in your hands and the game console below the TV.

"Exactly." You grinned. "I'm going to play The Legend of Zelda. Want to play with me?"

"Why not?" He agreed. He took the chance to discreetly slide closer to you on the couch. Your mother was right when she said you were quite naive, a couple of days ago. He had started to make slow moves towards you, like intently fix his eyes on yours, sit really close to you, touch you 'casually', or let you catch him staring at you from time to time and reply to your looks with lopsided smiles, and you seemed completely unaware of them. He looked at the screen as a red rowboat appeared on it, followed by the words 'The Legend of Zelda. The Wind Waker'. You started a new game before handing him the controller and explaining him how it worked. Then, the game started and you watched together the beginning. "So... I'm supposed to control this guy?" Law asked making Link run in circles.

"Yep. Isn't he adorable? I always had a crush on Link." You dreamily commented.

"This blond squirt?" He asked in disbelief.

"He's not a squirt." You protested. He gave you an 'are you kidding me?' look. "He's made chibi style on this game, but he's not a squirt."

"Whatever..." He muttered. He hoped being short wasn't an attractive feature to you, because if that was the case, he was doomed.

During the game you discovered how disastrous Law was at gaming. He had no idea of how to use the remote, and he was continuously dying and doing things wrong. He had quite a funny way to be a disaster, though, so you ended up laughing until your eyes filled with tears. At first, he would protest and tell you to stop laughing, but he soon found joy in your spontaneous and cheerful laughs, and opted to let his frustration get to his most clumsy side in hopes to keep making you laugh.

After a couple of hours playing, someone rang the bell on the door. "Oh, that must be your new bed! They were going to bring it here today!" You cheered, standing from the couch. Law paused the game and followed you with his golden gaze. You froze when you peeked through the peephole and saw who it was, and after casting a quick glance to Law, grabbed the knob to open the door. "W-What are you doing here?" You stuttered. Law tensed sensing your sudden nervousness and tried to see who were you talking to, but you sent him another quick glance before stepping out and half-closing the door behind you.

"Oh, come on! Now I can't enter my own home!?" Law heard a man's voice harshly protest.

"It's not your home anymore. It just was because I let you live here. If you betray me, you lose it. What do you want?" Your voice retorted. You tried to sound firm, but Law could perceive the slight trembling in it.

"I want to talk to you and I want to do it inside." The man insisted.

"And I tell you we talk here. My home, my rules. If you have something to tell me, just tell me already."

"So that is how things are? I come here expecting to talk with you as adults and you just refuse to let me go inside? I thought you had matured a little bit through these years, but I see I was wrong."

"Maybe if you had spent more time with me instead of getting into others' beds you would have noticed before. You have no right to talk about maturity! You didn't even apologized when I caught you!" You were starting to raise your voice and Law didn't like by one bit the way that guy was talking to you, so he stood and approached the door with fast steps.

"And do you think the correct way to deal with that is to tell everyone you're pregnant?"

"What!? How do you know that? You've been nosing around my Facebook page!? What's wrong with you? Have you nothing better to do? Now that we broke up you decide you're interested in my life?"

"Yeah, victimize yourself, as always. We both know that you just wanted to attract attention." At that moment Law opened the door appearing behind you, but you were so caught up in the discussion that you didn't realize. His eyes landed on the man in front of you. He quickly recognized him as your ex-boyfriend from the picture in your mobile, although he had already guessed who he was from your argument. He was way shorter than he had imagined, though. Your ex turned to him surprised and looked at him in anger. "And who's this? That's why you didn't want me to go inside? To hide him? You're so fake is disgusting. You said to love me and feigned to be hurt, but you have no problems to sleep with another man already. You're pathetic."

That was it. Law had enough. Maybe you were too sweet to defend yourself and tell him to fuck off but he wouldn't tolerate such abuse. "Go away." He coldly ordered.

You turned to him in surprise, a little startled to find him there, and your ex looked at him in disdain. "What did you say?" He threateningly responded.

"I said. Go. Away." Law slowly articulated.

"Who do you think you are to give me orders, huh?" Your ex cockily walked to him with a defiant glare. "Do you think you're the king of this place and I must obey you just because you fuck her?" He added shoving Law.

A shy exclamation escaped your lips when you noticed the slight wince on Law's face, as your ex had unknowingly pressed on the still healing wound of his stomach, and tensed further, worried he would get hurt. After all, he was still a bit convalescent.

Law narrowed his eyes, menacingly fixing them on your ex as he towered over him. He had to admit the guy had guts to dare confronting him when the lousy shrimp barely reached his chest. Or maybe he was plainly stupid. "Out. Now." Law snarled ignoring the shove and controlling himself from crashing your ex's face against a wall. In his opinion that was what he deserved, but he knew you wouldn't like it. He didn't want to scare or worry you.

"I have the right to be here and I won't move until I've talked with her."

"She has nothing to talk with you. Now, get the hell out of my sight."

Your ex was going to retort, but your trembling voice talked sooner. "Please, leave." You begged. You honestly didn't feel ready to talk with him and you didn't want him and Law to start a fight of any kind. Your problems should be only yours. Besides, you really hated confrontations.

"You heard her." Law remarked in all seriousness.

"Stick your nose in your own business, stupid haggard." Your ex shot back. "If we can't talk here, we'll talk somewhere else." After saying that, he grabbed your wrist and tried pulling you to the elevator, but you jerked your hand away.

"I don't want to go anywhere. We talked enough." You stated with a frown. It had really made you upset that he was acting so rude. Law hadn't even insulted him.

"Don't be stupid." Your ex insisted, stepping to you with the intention of grabbing your hand again, but Law stepped in front of you, protectively, eyes narrowing. "Get out of my way." He growled in anger, reaching out to try one more time.

Law stopped him grabbing his wrist and giving one more step to the side to hide you completely behind his body. "Don't you dare laying a single finger on her." His voice was calm, low, but it held a dangerous, piercing undertone that didn't went unnoticed by your ex. He harshly jerked his arm to get rid of Law's hold.

"Law, it's okay." You tried to sooth him upon sensing the atmosphere growing thicker, moving to his side.

However, Law's silvery orbs remained fixed on your ex and he didn't miss how his eyes darted to you as soon as you came to sight neither the way his fingers twitched ever so slightly, and he immediately raised his arm in front of you to protect you. "Give me one single reason to start a fight, and I'll make you regret having come here today." He warned, your ex's eyes moving back to him in a glare. Law watched in satisfaction how whatever idea his mind had held to take you away dissipated, but he stayed on guard just in case.

"Fine! Hide behind your bodyguard. You were always so childish... " Your ex sputtered in indignation. He paused, staring with disgust at Law's tattooed fingers. "Don't come crying after me when he starts beating you."

Your heart jumped painfully at his last statement, a lump forming in your throat. What did he mean with that? Did he wish someone beat you? Was that? Did he want you to be hit so you would regret having broken up with him? But he didn't care about you, why would he want you to regret having broken up? You didn't know how to take his words, but they hurt nonetheless.

Law quietly observed as your ex turned around and disappeared inside of the elevator before turning to you worriedly. "Are you okay?" He gently asked, eyes softening as he unconsciously placed a soothing palm against your cheek, looking at you in concern.

"I'm fine, don't worry." You softly replied, taking his hand and moving it away from your face with delicacy. Not because it displeased you, but because you were trying to hold back your tears and if he kept showing caring gestures towards you or trying to comfort you, you knew you would shatter. "Let's check on your wound." You added, still holding his hand as you went back inside your apartment.

He followed you, surprised you had noticed about that detail. "It's okay, I can do it myself. I don't think it reopened anyways."

"No, no. It's better to make sure." You insisted signaling him to sit at the couch. You sat next to him and waited for him to raise his hoodie to check on the gauze. It seemed white and clean, so that was a good sign. You carefully took it off to check on his wound and sighed in relief when you verified its state. "It's fine, it looks the same." You informed, his eyes leaving your face to take a look at the wound too. You told him to wait a minute so you could go to the medicine cabinet and take a clean gauze to replace the one you just removed.

He waited patiently for you to finish your task. "I'm sorry I'm causing you so many problems. I know this was my fault." He apologized as you finished placing the gauze.

"No. It's not your fault, okay? You did nothing wrong. If you don't mind, I prefer not to talk about this right now." You quickly said. He noticed you acted again like that time when you were about to cry but wanted to hide it from him. You talked fast, avoided to look at him and practically begged him to drop the subject. He wondered why did you act like that, why were you so determined to refuse yourself some crying. Maybe it was just that you still didn't trust him enough?

He lowered his hoodie back in place. "Why don't we keep playing? You were explaining me where I had to go now, since I keep getting lost." He decided to distract you for a while. It hurt him to remember how happy had you been laughing so openly just a few minutes ago, in contrast to the sad look you had at the moment.

You smiled at him a little bit. "Yes, let's continue. Are you having fun?"

"A lot." He assured, smirking at you and taking the remote before sliding close to you once again.

You proceeded to explain him how to continue, glad to have something to entertain yourself with.

Happy to have someone to cheer you up.
